Bhilwara Sur Sangam 2018 || Musical Retreat

The Bhilwara Sur Sangam, of the LNJ Bhilwara Group, has become one of the most sought after yearly music festivals of the Capital. This edition of two day-day musical fest was dedicated to the promotion of Indian classical music traditions. Various eminent artists of the country graced the event by their presence.

Padma Shri awardee, Pandit Venkatesh Kumar, once again mesmerised the audience with his soulful voice . Accompanied on flute by Pandit Ajay Shankar Prasanna , and with support by some of his best disciples was one night to remember. His voice really brought the Kamani Auditorium to life.
Sitar
Superb performance by Ustad Shujaat Hussain Khan was perhaps the highpoint of day two of the two day event organised by Bhilwara Group. The sonorous sitar recital was followed with performance by Shri Abhishek Borkar. Shri Abhishek Borkar was, in fact, equally enthralling on sarod as well.

The very first stroke on the sarod captured the sensibility of the discerning audience.
This year the Sur Sangam was dedicatd to Ganasarswati Kishori Amonkar.
Bhilwara Sur Sangam has been spreading the rich heritage of Indian classical music traditions. It is indeed heartening that many legendary artists of diverse genres have performed on this platform.
I feel privileged to be part of an event of such magnitude and to be able too see such quality musical talents of our country performing in front of my eyes.

I feel proud that Bhilwara group is year after year conducting such events that bring us closer to our roots.

MOST AMAZING SKIN CARE AND BEAUTY TIPS FOR WOMEN

Stop being lazy Ladies, its time to make the world amazed. Be confident, stay strong, stand straight and most importantly believe in yourself. Make yourself like a woman who stands in front of mirror and feel the beauty she has. If you have noticed some flaws on your skin, face or any part of body, don’t worry its not a big deal now to stay worried. You just have to take a little care of your beauty, follow some beauty secrets. After all every women want to have beauty at any cost but you know, actually it’s not time consuming process or as expensive as you think. After discussing some beauty experts and making a great research on gaining and caring of beauty. Let me share those tips with you:

MAKE A HABIT OF USING MOISTURIZER
Either you have dry, normal or oily skin, there are all kinds of moisturizers available in market. Moisturizer can help you protect your skin by premature aging, it helps in sealing moisturizer you’ve already in your skin so that your skin can produce more moisturizer.

MOISTURIZER FOR DRY SKIN: The moisturizer that contains alpha hydroxyl acids produces more moisturizer on its own.  You can use it for dry to normal skin, apply moisturizer and a latest technology called vesicular emulsion. By using this technology you get continual moisturizer throughout the day. As this technology is using microscopic spheres that swaps water and moisturized layers.

MOISTURIZER FOR OILY SKIN: If you have oily skin, choose light and gentle moisturizer. Some of people think that oils have moisturizer; they should correct their information source. If you apply oil on your face you’ll still need moisturizer.

TO PREVENT FROM AGING AND WRINKLES USE SUNSCREEN
Ignoring the effects of sunrays on your skin may cause wrinkles, spider veins, age spots and more freckles on your skin. Ultraviolet rays make skin look rough slack and loose. To prevent your skin from sunrays you should use a sun block or sunscreen lotion on your skin before going out. Experts mostly recommend sunscreen lotion of SPF15 or higher. If you’ve to go outside for more than one or two hours take your sun block with you and apply it even after one and half hour. Use translucent mineral powder for touch up as it contains natural sunscreen.

APPLY CLEANSER GENTLY
Forget about using soaps if you want a soft and smooth skin. Choose always most gentle cleanser and apply it gently. Avoid washing your face too many times in a day as it harsh your skin and damages your natural lipids barrier, the protective mantle of lubrication makes your skin look soft, smooth and healthy. Lack of this mantle may make your skin dry. Just wash your face twice in a day with a rich and gently with a rich cleanser.

USE BEST QUALITY BEAUTY PRODUCTS AND TOOLS
To get desired charming look you should go for best quality beauty products that have high-quality material in it. Not only beauty products make you look beautiful but also you should concentrate on the tools you use including makeup brush and puffy sponges. The tip for choosing right brush is that takes a brush and dips it into a shadow or blushes and applies it on your skin. If the shadow or blush falls away from brush before applying it on face, you’re using a bad quality brush.

TRY TO USE MOST UPDATED MAKEUP AND HAIR
Don’t use makeup or hair that you’ve from past two or more years. It can damage your skin badly first inside and then upper surface of your skin. When you make shopping ask the storekeeper to show you very new makeup range. Most of the cosmetics shops update their makeup frequently or even after two years.

82. For fuller lips, extend the lip line using a flesh tone lip liner. Be careful not to go overboard, though!
81. The #1 reason for flaky mascara is that the formula is too dry or old. Make sure to close mascara after use to help keep its moisture. To extend the life a bit, add 2-3 drops of saline solution into the tube and swirl the brush around.

My memorable Luxury Stay experience in India

They say the true essence of a country is in its countryside. Amritsar, India- where you get the blend of both rich culture and Luxury, is such an ideal place to be to escape the monotony life.

So when I went there I had only Hyatt Amritsar on my mind for the best place to stay. The staff there gave such an unconditional warmth that I always felt at home. The flavours of the land made me so nostalgic that i was reminded of my Nani(Grand-mother). The dance form, rich heritage and colours of such a vibrant country was all showcased here at Hyatt Amritsar.

Other than the multi-cuisine dining halls and lavish interiors of the hotel, they had this innocence and trustfulness about their hospitality that make you fall in love with Hyatt staff every passing day.

They even helped me plan my stay in Amritsar, made me feel very comfortable and get things even at odd hours.

Luxury and poise that hotel should posses ws all here at Hyatt Amritsar.

As frequently I wanted to visit the local places in Amritsar I was able, thanks to prime location of the hotel.
The Golden Temple is located at a convenient distance of 4 kms from and provides complimentary scheduled shuttle service to it, as per the prayer timings.
It is located minutes drive from main market Hall Bazar & Katra Jaimal Singh and several iconic local attractions like Jallianwala Bagh and Wagah Border.

Hyatt Amritsar elegant guestrooms including suites which are on the highest floor of the
hotel to ensure panoramic views of the city. Rooms have a sleek contemporary design with the highest levels of comfort which is a highlight of my stay.

Restaurants in Hotel

Savour Thai, Chinese, Punjabi and other international cuisines at our in-house restaurants ThaiChi and Collage. When the sun goes down, head to The Lounge Bar for evening cocktails, soothing music and views across an open courtyard. Enjoy a wide selection of freshly baked cakes, exotic pastries and assortment of savouries at The Pastry Shop located at the lobby level.

Activities inside and outside the hotel

Relaxing at the outdoor swimming pool or rejuvenate in one of eight treatment rooms at The Spa was my favourite part of stay. The hotel also provides a fully-equipped business centre including high-speed internet access, secretarial services and multimedia technology. Enhance and manage my fitness regime at Fitness Centre during my stay. I could also visit local attractions like Durgiana Temple, Mata Ka Mandir and Maharaja Ranjit Singh Panorama which are in vicinity of hotel.

Summer vacation ideas: 5 Things you should follow to get rid of boredom.

How was your last summer? Was it too good to remember or too bad to forget?

summer ideas

Let me shortlist some ideas for summer vacation this year, which will make you re-plan your wishlist.

1. Watch favorite TV shows and movies

Be it the Game of Thrones 6th Season or a 10 pm Comedy night show, beat the 2016 summer, watching your favorite celebs show. In case, you have missed the amazing movies released this year, due to busy schedule, make sure you watch them out this summer. Although, there are many good movies in the list, I recommend you to watch Neerja, Kung Fu Panda, The Jungle Book, etc.

2. Read your favorite books

There's no better pastime than reading a novel or your favourite book, when there's nothing left to do in the daily schedule.
I didn't had this hobby of reading books, but after reading few books like that of Gone Girl, The Alchemist, I'm sure that this summer, I'll add few more novels into my bucket list. Are you gonna do it too?

3. Attend parties

Parties, yay! Visit Pubs, reverbs, weekend party or a pajama party this season.
Summer time in India marks as a wedding season and the best thing during the time, is FOOD. Yes, apart from meeting friends, families, acquaintances, etc. something that is very important is the food trend in marriage. I only attend the marriage parties for the variety and the taste of Food that I get to eat.
What about you?

4. Travel a lot

Travelling is my favorite interest and of course I know, you love it too. So, apart from all other stuffs you do this summer, don't miss to travel and yes, the weather remains hot, visiting the odds of South India or Delhi is not a good option. Experience the sizzling summer in Goa or the extreme North Indian places like Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttaranchal to beat off the heat.

5. Practice yoga, exercise or gym

Maintaining the body physique is the key and summer is the best time to get in shape.
Practicing yoga or exercising early at morning or even working out at Gym will prevent your body from being torpid.
I recommend Swimming, because it brings you the new freshness and rejuvenates the energy for full day, making you feel active.

6. Hobby time

Summer is the best season for every kids and adults because no matter how old are you, the nurturing and practicing of your hobbies takes place during this season. So, do not compromise with your hobbies just because now you are grown up or are busy in family life.

Oh wait..
Why to worry this summer, if you have VIVO IPL rolling on your TV Sets, watch the star studded cricket event and make your summer time, worthwhile.

HONEYMOON + DESTINATION WEDDING MAKE UP TIPS BY- Sugandha Dixit

HONEYMOON + DESTINATION WEDDING MAKE UP TIPS BY- Sugandha Dixit
I don’t know about you, but my Instagram feed is filled with jealousy inducing turquoise waters and exotic foods at the moment. Everyone’s jetting off for a taste of summer sun. But with sunshine and warmer weather comes extra sunscreen, oily skin and sliding make up!

Thankfully talented makeup artist Mariam Jensen is here to share her top products and tips to keep honeymooners and destination brides looking gorgeous in the heat.

Honeymoon/Destination Wedding Makeup Tips

Skincare and makeup needs are very different in warmer, tropical climates, than here in the UK, it needs to withstand sweat, humidity, and of course protect from the suns harmful rays.

Here are some of my top picks for brides, whether they are planning the destination wedding of their dreams in the Maldives to honeymooning in Barbados, these tips will not only insure you look your best, but that your look stays put and lasts throughout the day!
Before makeup is applied to skin, I suggest brides and grooms invest in a high-spectrum sun protection for the face and body. For the face I am a huge fan of Shu Uemura UV Armour High Protection Sun Protector SPF 50, this water resistant fluid glides on the skin effortlessly and blends in without leaving any film or unpleasant residue and sits very nicely underneath makeup.

Instead of messing with heavy foundation and products that just don’t last, opt for Hourglass Cosmetics Illusion Tinted Moisturizer. When I first tried this product I fell in love with the texture, coverage, and skin care benefits. This miracle product provides a gorgeous coverage and finish to the skin due to its key ingredients INSTALIFTA  and Hyaluronic Filling Spheres, which increases the skins hydration, diminishing fine lines and wrinkles. Just when you thought the product couldn’t get any better, it’s water-resistant and also is free-from oil, fragrance, and parabens. You can apply it with fingers for an effortless application or with a foundation brush to build up more coverage where needed. I find that this product definitely gives more coverage that traditional tinted moisturizers, making this skin look more flawless and even.

For hot and humid climates I would make sure to have MAC Blot Films to hand to blot off excess oil and sweat. I would also invest in an oil control powder such as Cover FX Matte FX Oil Absorbing & Blotting Powder, which can be used to maintain and shine-free look throughout the day, especially in areas such as the T-Zone. I love this product and even recommend it for use on men to keep them from looking too shiny.
